This beautiful bobber has been built by Kris Reniers of Deep Creek Cycle Works in Belgium and it is his first "Bavarian". Kris has a full time job and an undisputed passion for motorcycles, to which he devotes most of his free time. This beautiful and elegant Bobber comes from a 1980 BMW R100 RS and despite its 35 years of age, the big boxer was in great shape. Kris's idea was to create a stylish and refined motorcycle which could be driven wearing a DGR suit, Distinguished Gentleman's Ride. The original idea was to buy a R60/2 but the cost of it would have blown the entire planned budget, so he rebuilt the frame from a R100 RS on the size of R60/2, which allowed him to mount old plunger shocks at the back, giving the bike a decidedly retro look. The project, as a whole, may seem a little awkward, but Kris tried to rebalance the asymmetry by inserting interesting details such as the single leather seat that matches the side knee pads giving a sense of extreme cleanliness to the back of the bike. The big 60/70s headlight, strictly yellow, on the left side, the little glass screen mounted on the front number plate ... are all small details that help to enhance the elegance of vintage. The black and gold colors are the framework for this wonderful BMW Bobber Distinguished Gentleman's Ride.
