There are custom bikes that are not made with special materials, which don't have expensive technology upgrades and are not based on"Fashion" models ... but that doesn't mean that they cannot be called "Beautiful."That's the case of this K series BMW turned into a "pure" Café Racer by skilled hands, those of the Cafe Twin boys in Rome.Instead of riding the Street Scramblers wave, very fashionable these days, the Cafe Twin team wanted, with his latest creation, to present a series K Cafe Racer proving that you can have a lot with (relatively) little. All ... or at least many, are capable of making a beautiful bike with a large budget, it is enough to mount a 2/3 thousand euro worth wheels and add carbon parts to give the motorcycle a unique appearance. But when - for us poor mortals - the budget is tight, things get complicated and it's the customizer's imagination that makes the real difference. This K series Café Racer has undergone a general mechanical overhaul and substantial weight loss. The subframe has been modified to host a beautiful diamond-stitched leather solo seat on a handmade frame that sees a final tail made by metal sheet, racer style. Very well done the alignment saddle-tank which gives a clean line to the structure. Low race handlebars, a small bates headlight mounted between the forks and the new footpegs, give a "racy" look to the bike.Particular the glossy-opaque contrast coating, made with a new technique that involves the passage of the raw metal into the ink (in this case dark red) which is absorbed by the metal making the coating iridescent, so that the hue changes according to the intensity of reflected light. Black powder coated wheels and black matte inserts give more prominence to details.A beautiful example of how you can, with relatively little, turn an "old" K series into a beautiful Café Racer.Cafe TwinWebsite Facebook
