They came, they saw and they partied in their thousands. After another truly successful weekend in the Alps, the 15th edition of BMW Motorrad Days has come to an end for another year. Thanks to all the passionate motorcycle fans who joined together in Garmisch-Partenkirchen to play their part in helping make this event one to remember for a long, long time. What started out as a small gathering of BMW enthusiasts just a decade-and-a-half ago in Austria has grown into a truly international festival with a worldwide reputation Ė but one that has always been able to retain its friendly, welcoming nature. This is largely due to the fantastic fans from across the globe who come together on the first weekend of July every year to celebrate the BMW Motorrad lifestyle. As has become the tradition, Sunday is the most relaxed day of the weekend for many, although a comprehensive programme of activities was still available for fans who wanted to get involved. Guided Alpine tours set off early, while those who still hadnít been able to test their dream BMW bike or maxi-scooter still had until 4pm to ride as many as they could. Likewise in the Enduro Park, many aspiring future GS owners made the most of the expert instruction available to discover just how these iconic travel enduros can become a true passport to adventure and open up paths that are off limits to nearly all other motorcycles. For most people though, today was a chance to sit back, enjoy the sunshine and even enjoy a blessing from the traditional church service before starting the long journey home Ė wherever that may be. The great news of course is that although today was the end of this yearís BMW Motorrad Days, this vibrant community of BMW riders will continue to remain active via social media and at other events throughout the next 12 months until itís time to return to Garmisch-Partenkirchen once again. So itís farewell from us for now and see you again from 1-3 July 2016. Thanks for helping us make it such a special event and for playing your part in sharing it with those across the world who couldnít be here in person.
