Customizers follow lines of thinking that make their creations recognizable. One sees a bike and, from its style, can recognize who built it ... it is often the case, but not always! This bobber, based on a 1977 BMW R100/7, has been built by the chameleon Kev, of the famous Kevils Speed Shop in Devon UK, in collaboration with Clive Cook, of the Crobba Customs.Bobbers are generally very minimalist, with a low center of gravity. To enable these lines, Kev and Clive have completely overhauled the chassis. The engine, completely revised, has been equipped with new Mikunis carburetors with cone filters. The tank, rebuilt in aluminum, has a flat and slender shape with a good fuel capacity. The V seat is handmade and upholstered in black leather. Interesting the choice of large Mileage Avon tires. As with all his creations, Kev needed a name so he chose Bomber, a play on words between Beemer and Bobber.Photos by Ashley Kent
