Kevils Speed Shop no longer needs any introduction. Kev, in his workshop in Devon UK, builds - indeed - reinterprets, starting from old air cooled BMW R series bikes, new custom bikes, always beautiful. His latest creation is called Café Racer Firenze. Firenze, cradle of the Italian Renaissance, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, where culture, art and fashion come together ... at least we think, but it could be named after a bar or a restaurant called "Firenze" in Devon UK. We go with the first option...The donor for this custom is a 1982 BMW R80, commissioned from a Lebanese. The "red" color was chosen from Table Land Rover 2014, while all the black inserts, including the beautiful single-seater leather saddle, serve to emphasize the bike.Of course, the rear subframe has been modified in order to house their own cafè seat unit upholstered in black leather and stop light neatly grafted in. The rear Hagon shocks give a better handling and a more comfortable ride while, blending styles, there is a purely tracker exhaust, high level 2 in 1, made from Kevils in stainless steel.Beautiful the Motogadget's do-it-all speedo mounted above the small Halo headlight which, altough being of reduced size, offers excellent performance as for brightness. The Avon Distanza tires, mounted on original snowflake rims, give another twist to this tracker cafe racer adding an off-road potential. As with all Kevils Speed Shop builds, the donor has been completely reviewed and revised, bolt by bolt, Bing carburetor replaced with a higher performance Mikuni's to provide a crisper throttle response and the braking system revised and modernized to give more safety in the event of a sudden braking. What to say about this "Firenze"? First of all, that we hope he refers to our beautiful Italian city... and then, that such a Café Racer "Tracker" ... we have never seen it before! Great Kev!
