Definitely out of the ordinary this 2006 BMW R 1200S, transformed from road boxer into a futuristic scrambler by Renard Speed Shop in Estonia. Renard's Andres Uibomae had this R 1200S in his workshop and was thinking on how to transform it, when one of his clients, who had traveled with his GS in many parts of the world, asked him to build something different, a bike similar to GS but lighter and suitable for dirt roads and with “Renard” style. The R-1200S, with its 122hp and 112Nm torque on tap, was the perfect candidate for a performimg scrambler prototype, but they had to lighten the body and strengthen it to make it fit for purpose. Once the bike had been completely stripped, the team Renard began building a new fuel tank, a new saddle complete with enduro-inspired side panels. A new pair of Kineo spoked wheels (19 "front and 17" rear) with Metzeler Karoo 3s tyres, modified the structure making it suitable for off-road trails. With no need to increase the power of the boxer engine, Renard has focused on updating suspensions and brakes. Öhlins shocks and Beringer brakes were installed along with a hydraulic Beringer clutch. Neken handlebars, speedo from Motogadget, LED indicators as well as the headlight protected by an handmade fly-screen.Particular, the Akropovic exhaust system with a vertically mounted silencer and inverted cone terminals, hand made, which come out from the side of the seat. All largely shielded with anti-heat panels. What struck us most of this bike are the details: the seat and the side panels are all covered in Alcantara, while the subframe and many small details are of a BMW Motorrad Sport blue.Surely a bike built out of the ordinary and with a retro futuristic taste ...Renard Speed ShopWebsite Facebook
