Lately, more and more K series are rediscovered by customizers. A reliable engine, excellent performance, not too obsolete components and a relatively low cost of acquisition are the arrows of the K series and, increasingly, these "not cool" become beautiful customsWith approximately 1,500/2,500 euros you can find good opportunities with low mileage and a high level German technology.Herr Marc Robrock, owner of Motofication in Nuremberg, has just done that with its K100 "K-Fé". A splendid Kafe Racer based on a 1986 K100RS donor. In the pictures there are two versions of the K-Fé that differ from tiny details like the rear tail.He began with the rear subframe positioned at the right height to host a beautiful leather saddle made by Martin Kuethe (Nuremberg saddler). The aluminum frame has been handmade to create the rear tail and in the latest version, a headlight originally designed for the BMW R1150 R has been installed. The backward footpegs and the half handlebars give it a “riding” position while the front Ducati headlight and the rear tail make it a pure "Cafe Racer" or rather a K-Fé.Very important: the bike had to overcome tough tests to be registered in Switzerland but as ,Martin says, it's just a matter of figuring out what you can or cannot do!In our opinion, a lot has been done, ... with relatively little!MotoficationWebsite Facebook
